The Round Table
of King Arthur at Penrith

There is a point near Penrith
just south of Hadrian´s Wall in Cumbria
which has two marked "ways" on the map of Ancient Britain
which extend nearly like spokes of a wheel from it.

These are "High Street" and "Maiden Way".

Moreover, they are near a famous group of stones
called "Long Meg and her Daughters"
and a site nearby known in legend as the Round Table of King Arthur.

If one takes this "Round Table" as a mid-point
for the whole of the British Isles and the United Kingdom,
including Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland,
then this point indeed looks very close to the geodetic center,
as shown in the map above.

The center at Wynd´s Point is thus only the localized survey.
Is the Picardy Stone also evidence of a measurement of Europe by larger triangulations?
