![]() The Biblical passages relating to the Twelve Tribes of Israel are among the most puzzling in the entire Holy Book. The following astronomical interpretation explains many of them without difficulty, relating them to the Babylonian Path of the Moon. .
Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are their habitations .... I will divide them at Jacob, and scatter them in Israel. The star Denebola setting (end of the habitation of Simeon and Levi) finds Jacob, at the Pleiades, rising, heading toward Orion (which is Schechem, or Israel, as the STONE of HEAVEN, represented by RIGEL = the star known in Arabic as As-Rigel.) and hence from there to be "scattered in Israel". Simeon is thus related to the month of Simanu - the "realm" of stars is Sirius viz. Procyon to Regulus. The hieroglyph for SIMEON is a pouch, in Latvian, a SAIMIN- ("pouch, money bag") a homophonic symbol. LEVI is equivalent to Latvian LAUVA (Lion) viz. LUSIS (Lynx) and he represents LEO and the months of Levi and Av. Simeon and Levi marked the Summer Solstice at this time.
JUDAH is a lion's whelp...The sceptre shall not depart from Judah... until Shiloh come.... Judah (HYDRA) ends at Arcturus setting, noding with beta-Scorpionis setting and noding with the star Mira ceti rising. Mira Ceti is Jared and represents Jordan - and this is the site of ancient Shiloh. The Biblical passage simply sets the stars rising and setting as one enters the realm of Zebulun, a "hermetic" Geography of the Stars. Judah is the Akkadian month DUDU and the Egyptian and Hebrew month Techi, Thoth and Tishri. The hieroglyph for JUDAH is a snake (Pharaonic DJD), in Latvian CHU-ska (snake) or ZUTis (eel).
ZEBULUN shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon. Zebulun's realm ends at the node of the ecliptic in 2340 B.C., i.e. the underworld or sea of heaven at the end of Scorpio. Scorpio rises as the stars set at the Fertile Crescent and Zidon. Hence, here the Bible describes the node stars. In terms of months, this is Babylonian ZIBanitum. The root for the term is Latvian ZHUBURIN- "branch", in Sumerian as SIPPAR. .
ISAACHAR is a strong ass couching down between two burdens and describes that portion of the sky we ascribe today to Hercules, Atlas or Ophiuchus, holding the world on his shoulders. This is Babylonian SUCHUR.
The Egyptologists already translate the hieroglyph for DAN as DN. The symbol for DAN is easily explained in Latvian. DELNA is the flat of the hand (from Latvian DUO- "give" as in Pharaonic DUO) plus the N for NIL- so both actually represent the sound DANIEL.
The Egyptologists have already assigned a reading of NEHEB to the hieroglyph of NAPHTALI. We find this in the comparable Sanskrit month Nabhas.
ASHER corresponds to ASH.IKU in the MUL.APIN series of astronomical Babylonian cuneiform tablets as the Great Square (see Werner Papke, Die Sterne von Babylon). This corresponds to the month of ADARU.
JOSEPH is a fruitful bough, the stars of Aries, Perseus, and the Pleiades.
JACOB is prior to the shepherd (the stone of Israel, which is Orion). Jacob is Pharaonic Jabiru and Sumerian Habur.
REUBEN defiles his father's bed as the star Kappa-Orionis (Abu ROAsch, REU and Djedkare) sets - as beta-Scorpionis, the node star at the ecliptic, rises. Heaven's bed is thus defiled. This is the month of Ayaru, Urja, Ur, or Iyyar.
The hieroglyphs for BENJAMIN read in Latvian diBEN (bottom) and GIMINS (visage), i.e. BEN-GIMINS, meaning "the star below Gemini", i.e. Betelgeuse. See months worldwide at Path of the Moon. |
