Humans have always tried to reach for the stars and to bring them down
to an understandable human level. Astrology makes the stars "relevant”.

The general conception of scientists that all of astrology is bunk, has not been empirically proven, one way or the other. The geneticists and physicists tell us we are all formed of sub-atomic particles so small that we can not see them.

If the Moon is powerful enough to influence water on Planet Earth and to create ocean tides, then why not us? Are our fluids immune? We consist of 90% water.

Yet, a number of years ago, a number of Nobel Prize Winners signed a document in the Humanist, stating that Astrology had no foundation in fact, EVEN THOUGH THESE SCIENTISTS HAD DONE NO RESEARCH ON THE SUBJECT. A poor showing by the Nobel Laureates. VERY UNSCIENTIFIC. What was THEIR empirical evidence?

Upon hearing this, I bet a colleague (an astrology opponent) a bottle of champagne that an empirical study of the birthdates of famous persons would show statistically significant “seasonal” deviations, quite apart from the alleged cause. That is how this work on astrology on my part came to be. Not only did I win the wager, but I read much of the Encyclopaedia Britannica (30 volumes) in the process, noting my information on 3x5 cards as I went along.

Much of my fairly broad exposure to all subjects derives from this period.
I became versed in virtually every field of human knowledge. From astrology to astronomy.
