Chapter VI
[of the book by Morozov]
Position of the Planets Among the Constellations of the Zodiac during the Thunderstorm of September 30, 395.
[Lexiline: We agree with Morozov that the Book of Revelation is astronomy but we disagree with his dating and think that the correct date is August 1627 BC - the explosion of Santorin - when the planets massed at Spica in Virgo with Saturn in opposition at Aries - AK]
1. And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as if it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw how Aries dismantled the first of the seven seals (i.e. apparently the constellation of Sagittarius got free from clouds nearby Aries) and one of the four beasts /Leo, Taurus, Sagittarius, Pegasus/ spoke me as through the voice of thunder: - Come and see!
2. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. I savveyed [1] \positions of stars\, and it was the same place where resided (according to astronomical calculation) a bright-white [2] horse ({Jupiter}): and he that sat above him ({Sagittarius}) had a bow and Corona /Constellation of Corona Austrina, bottom of Fig.2/ was given to him: and he went out victorious, and to conquer.
____________ [red bracketed numbers are original footnotes to the article]
[1] gr. from gr. - see, notice, consider, savvey]
[2] gr. - bright-white, sparkling. From this latin 'lux' - light (n) and 'lucidus' - light (a). As to that the matter is about Jupiter, there can't be any doubt, because another bright-white horse, Venus can not be in constellation of Sagittarius, when the sun as it is indicated in Ch.12.1 of Apocalypse is located in constellation of Virgo. Moreover, Jupiter here is characterized by its epithet victorious]
3. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. When Aries had dismantled the other seal (i.e. apparently the constellation of Perseus got free from clouds), another beast said: - Come and see!
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And there went away, on the other side fiery [3] horse {Mars}: and it was given to him that sat over him ({Perseus}) to take peace from the earth, that people kill one another: and there was given to him a big sword.

[3] 1gr. 2gr. 3gr. (mangled from gr.) 4gr. 5gr. - And there went away, on the other side fiery horse. Here the matter is, evidently, about the planet Mars, as it is only of the fiery (gr.) colour. The word 2gr. is applied only to this horse and shows, that only Mars was during the observation of John in opposition to all other planets, in opposite side of the sky, under the horizon. As well as 3gr. is used only for Mars, from which I conclude that it is unfinished gr.
5. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. When Aries had dismantled the third seal (from the constellation of Perseus) the third animal said: -
Fig. 3
Come and see! I glanced and it was at that place where there was dark horse (unseen on that days {Mercury})[4]; and he that sat over him (Fig.4) had in his hand {Libra}[].
Fig. 4

[4] gr. - dark horse. There can't be any doubt that the matter is about Mercury, passing through the constellation of Libra. It is the most weakly glowing from all ancient planet, in the whole sense planet ghost. Many of astronomers have never seen it with unarmed eye, in that way John considered it dark, like the moon in periods of its invisibility. At the same time in the next lines it is determined clearly according to its astrological properties: Mercury was the planet of trade.
[5] gr. - balance-beam, constellation of Libra.
6. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And I heard a noise \of wind\ in the midst of the four animals saying (to the planet of trade Mercury): - A one daily portion of wheat for a denarius [6], and for a denarius also three portions of barley! But don't blast neither oil nor wine [7].

[6] denarius - the Roman coin, approximately fifteen kopecks. Daily portion of wheat was called khinicks.
[7] backwash of corn failure, as the given price on wheat and barley is very high for that time. And olives and grapes, evidently promised good harvest in this year.
7. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. When Aries had dismantled the forth seal, I heard the sound (of thunder) from the fourth animal (constellation of Pegasus) saying: - Come and see!
8. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the ear to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. I glanced (on the new place on zodiacal belt just cleared from clouds) and behold there was a pallid [8] horse (direful planet Saturn), and his name that was ascending [9] on him was death ({Scorpius}, Fig.5),

and underground realm followed him (Sagittarius, Capricornus, Aquarius and inhabitants of the sea deepness, Pisces). And power was given to them [10] over the \South-Western covered by them\ fourth part of the earth to kill there people with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with beasts of the earth.
________________
[8] gr. - pallid, greenish. In all ancient writers planet Saturn is characterised with this colour.
[9] Here instead: gr., put for all other constellations, is written: gr. - i.e. like "mounting on him", because the constellation of Scorpius, the symbol of death in astrology sort of climbed on Saturn (Fig.5)
[10] gr. - them and not him as they usually translate.
9. And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: When Aries had dismantled the fifth seal, I saw (in curly clouds?) by the Ara (Fig.6) the souls of perished for the science of god and for the testimony of truth.

10. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And they cried with a loud voice (probably by a piteous puff of the wind): How long, you holy and just will not judge and avenge those who live on the earth for our shedded blood?
11. And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. And white \cloudy\ robes were given to every one; and it was said to them, that they should calm down yet for a little time, until their brothers and comrades that will be killed will not complement the required number.
12. And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; When Aries had dismantled the sixth seal, there pealed the \first\ hit of the earthquake [11]. And the sun (closed by thunder cloud) became dark as black hairsack, and the whole moon as spot of blood (from expected by the author eclipsis of the 30th of september, 395).

[11] gr.- The word gr. as literally translated means shock, shake. It was also used to denote a sudden puff of the wind. From here the word gr. - vortex, twister, hurricane. When applied to the earth gr.- means earthquake (gr.). In John we will count further three more hits of this Pathmos earthquake.
[12] gr. - hairsack
[13] gr. - this eclipse, that began according to Pathmos time before the sunset lasted until the Pathmos midnight. It was annular, i.e. the moon was on the sun in the form of a spot. It passed through Pacific ocean, Southern America and southern part of Atlantic ocean. From the lines above it is undoubtful that the author has precalculated this eclipse according the Saros cycle. But he had not the opportunity to deduce precisely the time of eclipse and the places of its passage. In this way, when thunder cloud closed the sun in this evening and half-light usual during thunderstorm arrived, he decided that upstairs, over the clouds the eclipse awaited by him has already begun, and he described it by example of the eclipse seen by him before of the 20 November 393 which passed through Konstantinople and minor Asia.
13. And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the stars of sky \it seemed\ started falling on the earth, as a fig tree casts her green fruits, when she is shaken by a mighty wind.
14. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island was moved out of their places. And the part of the celestial dome parted [14], rolled as a scroll \in the form of thunder cloud\; and every mountain and island was moved out of their places.
______________
[14] gr. - to divide, to retard
15. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16. And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the Throne /constellation of Throne, now Cassiopeia/, and from the wrath of the Aries:
17. For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
